Peeling Back The Onion: Taking Security Onion Into Battle
The goal of this session is to show how Security Onion is used in various industry sectors. James Stanger will be demonstrating how Security Onion behaves, misbehaves, and is used by working professionals. James will be showing the "data exhaust" from attackers, and how defenders assemble that information to show trends. The goal is to show evidence of how working professionals use various tools, including Security Onion, to protect themselves. Far from being merely a theoretical or "hello world" presentation, James will be showing the results of how analysts work today.
