Dr. Kunal Korgaonkar currently leads the "Confluences of Computing" Lab at BITS Pilani, Goa Campus where he is also an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science and Information Systems department. Before joining BITS, Kunal was a postdoctoral fellow at Technion in Israel, and has completed his doctorate from the University of California San Diego (US), and his master's from IIT Madras (India). Besides academia, he has worked extensively in the industry in both product development and research roles. Notably, he has contributed to several impactful projects at Intel Labs. Kunal has been honored with several scholarships and fellowships, most recently he has received the OPERA award at BITS for showing outstanding potential for research and academics. Kunal loves traveling, reading maps, and understanding human history.
